Event Information
Transition Area - For safety and security, only competitors are allowed in the transition area. Riding your bike is not allowed in the transition area. Everyone must wear an approved bike helmet. Bike helmets must always be buckled. No bikes will be allowed to be removed from the transition area until all bikes are off the course. The transition area will be tight so please respect others in the transition area.
The Swim – The swim will be out and back. The course is a 1/2 mile clockwise loop. Swim caps are provided and color coded for each wave. There will be boats about and Lifeguards on kayaks there for your safety. If you need to rest, let a lifeguard know. You will not be penalized for resting.
The Bike - The Bike course is a 14 milesout and back . The bike course is not a closed course to traffic. There will be Police and Volunteers at the major corners but we ask that you use caution throughout. Safety first! Drafting is not allowed. Helmets must be worn throughout the entire bike course.
The Run – The 3 mile run is all within Long lake Park Reserve.
THE SITE - Long Lake is one of Ramsey County's premier lakes. The 219 acre Long Lake Regional Park is owned by Ramsey County and has many different recreational opportunities
