Kickin' Leaves Duathlon was designed as a race to celebrate the beautiful fall season of color we experience in northern Minnesota. It is a opportunity to embrace a change of season and anhealthier lifestyle. Each year, the Grand Itasca Foundation focuses on a segment of healthcare that will have a positive impact on the individuals served by the Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital. This year we will showcase the services provided by our Rehab Services Department. We invite you to all be a part of Kickin' Leaves Duathlon for your good Health
Course Description - The 2.5 mile run is a beautiful course that winds through the woods on a mixed of asphalt and well groomed dirt trails. The run will take you through the logging camp of the Forest History Center. The bike course is on paved roads.
The family fun walk will follow the sylvan Bay trail, a scenic 1 mile dirt trail through towering pines and eagle's nests.
Race Schedule - Kickin' Leaves Duathlon starts at 9:00 a.m.. The 1 mile Family Fun Walk starts at 10:00 a.m.
Divisions - Duathlon only - Individual age groups for men and women: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over. There is no team division.
Awards - All duathlon participants will receive a long sleeved t-shirt, Awards for the duathlon winners will presents to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age group. All duathlon and family fun walk participants will be eligible for door prize drawings at the awards ceromony - you must be present to win.
