Event Information

We are located at Shelter 3 at Coon Rapids Regional Park - On the Coon Rapids side of the Dam

Waves for Saturday - 3 minutes apart

Wave 1 - All Males and Elite

Wave 2 - All Females and Teams

Transition Area – For safety and security, only competitors are allowed in the transition area.  Riding your bike is not allowed in the transition area.  Everyone must wear an approved bike helmet.  Bike helmets must always be buckled.  On Saturday, No bikes will be allowed to be removed from transition area until all bikes are off the bike course.

Gear West will be on site handling bike issues. They have provided bike support at all Vacation Sports events this year. Please show them your support.

Team Area in transition area – There will be a specific location in the transition area for team members to exchange their chip. Please do it safely

Results/Chips Timing. Please make sure your chip is returned after the event. Awards will be presented at approximately 11:00 a.m.

 

 

The 446-acre Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park is one of the most popular in Anoka County. It is a year-round destination, especially during the cross-country ski season. Picnicking, fishing, in-line skating, walking and bicycling are favorite activities in the park. The boat launch is heavily used during the summer.

Great event for the first-time multisport athlete Do you want to try a multisport event but unsure of what to expect? Consider this event to be your introduction to the multisport experience.

Course: NEW THIS YEAR 2010! Both runs are within the park reserve. The bike route will be a mix of scenic roads and paved trails on both the east and west side of the Mississippi River. This is a great event for the experienced and beginer multisport athlete. There will be excellent competition for the men"s, women"s and team"s division. This early season competition will get you off to a good start

Race Categories: Age Group - Elite - Clydesdale/Athena - Team Coed - Team Men - Team Women

Age Groups: Men and Women: 19-under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-Over.

Awards: Awards to top three competitors in each age group and categories.

Race T - Shirt to all participants.

Results: Will be posted at www.vacationsports.com.
